GenAI Startup Sarvam AI Closes $41 Million Series A Funding Round Led by Lightspeed, Peak XV Partners & Others

Bengaluru-based Generative AI Startup Sarvam AI has raised $41 million in Series A funding round which was led by Lightspeed.
Peak XV Partners and Khosla Ventures also participated in this funding round.

Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar are the founders of Sarvam AI. The founders aim to work with Indian companies to build domain-specific AI models, particularly focusing on supporting Indian languages and voice-first interfaces.

Vivek Raghavan has more than 10 years of experience in creating digital public products like Aadhaar and Kumar has experience in creating products like AI4Bharat. The combination of these two will take the Indian AI startup ecosystem to great heights.
