Richard had a disease called dyslexia since childhood, due to which he did not feel like studying and he left school at the age of 16.
On the last day of school, Richard’s headmaster told him that either he would go to jail or he would become a millionaire.
After leaving school, Richard along with his friends started a magazine called STUDENT and their business was successful. Richard then started a mail-order record business called Virgin Records.
Richard had no business experience in the field of records business, so one of his friends advised him to name this business Virgin Records. First, he opened a music record shop and then opened a full studio. And in no time, Richard became a millionaire at the age of 23.
But due to loss in records business, Richard evaded tax, due to which he had to go to jail for 1 year. His parents got him to bail the very next day by mortgaging their house. After this Richard decided that he would never take any wrong path.

But he didn’t have enough money to book a private plane, so he stood up with a board on which it was written – ‘One way to the British Virgin Islands $39’. Due to the cancellation of the flight, many people agreed to go with him.
While getting off the plane, a passenger jokingly told Richard that if he could improve the services on the plane, he could go to great heights in this business. Because of this incident, he got the idea to start his own airline business.
